1. Check all of the connections between the dish and the receiver

  1. Check the power connection between the dish and the receiver.
  2. Check the coaxial cable connection between the dish and the receiver.

  4. Check the video connection between the dish and the receiver.

2. If you have a multiswitch, check to see if it is getting power

If you have a multiswitch, you will need to check to see if it is getting power in order to fix directv 772. To do this, you will need to turn on all of the switches that are connected to the multiswitch. Next, you will need to check to see if the multiswitch is getting power from the wall. If it is not getting power, then you will need to plug the multiswitch into an outlet and check to see if it is getting power from the outlet. If it is not getting power from the power cord, then you will need to replace the multiswitch's power cord.

3. If you have a Genie DVR, check to see if it is set to the correct input

  4. Press the "Video" button on your DVR to change the input.
  5. If you are using an HDMI cable, make sure that the "Audio Return Channel" is enabled on your TV.
