How to Fix LG TV Error Code 105?

The lg tv error code 105 is a general protection fault error code. This code is displayed when the tv is unable to properly access or process the data required to complete a task. This can be caused by a variety of issues, including corrupt or missing files, incorrect permissions, or incompatible hardware. The tv will often attempt to automatically repair the problem, but if the issue persists, it will need to be manually fixed by the user. In some cases, the error code 105 can also be caused by a hardware failure, such as a faulty memory module.

1. Restart the TV

  1. Make sure the TV is off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the TV.
  3. Remove the screws that hold the TV cover in place.
  4. Lift the cover off of the TV.
  5. Plug the power cord back in to the TV and replug the screws in place.
  6. Replace the cover on the TV.

2. Update the TV's software

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Locate the firmware update file.
  3. Connect the TV to the Internet.
  4. Enter the TV's IP address into a web browser.
  5. Click the firmware update file.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. After the firmware update is complete, power on the TV.
  8. Reinstall the battery cover.

3. Check the connections

  1. Check if the power is on to the TV.
  2. Check if there is an issue with the cable TV connection.
  3. Check if there is an issue with the TV's power cord.
  4. Check if there is an issue with the TV's HDMI cable.
  5. Check if there is an issue with the TV's audio cable.
  6. Check if there is an issue with the TV's cable box.
  7. Check if there is an issue with the TV's satellite box.
  8. Check if there is an issue with the TV's internet connection.
