PlayStation error NW-31473-8 is an error that may occur between the router and the console. It may have something to do with the NAT setting.
1. PlayStation Network (PSN) might be under maintenance
If “PlayStation error NW-31473-8” appears upon sign in, PSN server might be under maintenance or server is currently in a bad situation. Check this site here to verify maintenance. 2. Power cycle PS4 and modem router
Cache, network problem or slow internet connection might also be caused “PlayStation error NW-31473-8.” This could be due to your home network or your console. However, if you are on a school campus or any private network, your internet connection may be under a firewall. You may want to ask for assistance to the network administrator.
- Turn off both PlayStation Network 4 and the modem router.
- Unplug them for at least three minutes.
- Turn it on and see if the signing up or party problem disappear.
