How to fix "There was a problem booting the Astoria platform on the Windows device. Error code = 14"?

Error code 14 is a problem booting the astoria platform on the windows device. This error code happens because the platform is not able to boot up correctly. There could be several reasons why this error code occurs, such as a corrupt or missing file, a faulty driver, or a problem with the hardware. If you are encountering this error code, you should try troubleshooting the issue by restarting your device, checking for updates, and running a scan for errors.

1. Restart the device

  1. From the Start screen, search for "power" and press Enter.
  2. Click the "Restart" button.

  4. On the "Restart Options" screen, select "Restart."

  6. On the "Troubleshoot" screen, select "Startup Settings."

  10. In the "Reboot Options" screen, select "Yes."

  5. Select the "ASTORIA" driver file and click on the "Update Driver" button.

  7. If the "Install" window displays a list of available updates, select the "Options" button.
  8. Select the "Advanced" tab and click on the "Check for updates" button.
  9. If the "Check for updates" window displays a list of available updates, select the "Install" button.
  10. If the "Install" window displays a list of available updates, select the "Options" button.
  11. Select the "Settings" tab and click on the "Restart" button.
  12. After the platform has restarted, check for updates again and install any that are available.

3. Reset the device to factory settings

When the "Select a Repair Option" window opens, select the "Repair Files" option. 12. Click on "Next". 13. When the "Repair Files" window opens, select the "Repair Files and Settings" option. 14. Click on "Next". 15. When the "Repair Files and Settings" window opens, select the "Scan for Corrupt Files" option. 16. Click on "Next". 17. When the "Scan for Corrupt Files" window opens, select the "Fix Files and Settings" option. 18. Click on "Next". 19. When the "Fix Files and Settings" window opens, click on "Finish".

5. Run the Windows astoria platform troubleshooter

  1. Launch the Windows astoria platform troubleshooter.
  2. Click on the "Start" button.
  3. Type "cmd" in the search box and hit the enter key.
  4. Right-click on the "Command Prompt" icon and select "Run as administrator".
  5. Type the following command and hit the enter key. scannow astoria
  6. If the astoria platform is not found on the computer, you will be prompted to install the astoria platform. Click on the "Install" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. If the astoria platform is found on the computer, you will be prompted to launch it. Click on the "Launch" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
