The hotmail error code 0x800CCC19 is a error code that happens when the server is unable to connect to the hotmail account. This can happen for a number of reasons including: the server is down, the account is locked, or the account is not set up correctly.

1. Check your internet connection

  1. Open up a web browser and go to www.hotmail.com.
  2. Sign in to your hotmail account.
  3. On the left-hand side of the page, under the "My Account" header, click the "Settings" link.
  4. On the "Settings" page, under the "General" header, click the "Internet Options" link.
  5. On the "Internet Options" page, under the "Advanced" header, click the "Connection" tab.
  6. On the "Connection" tab, under the "Settings" header, make sure that the "Use the following DNS servers" box is checked and that the "Use the following TCP/IP addresses" box is filled in with the following information:
  • 209.85.191.1
  • 209.85.192.1
  1. If the "Use the following DNS servers" box is not checked, click the "Use the following DNS servers" link, type in the correct DNS server addresses, and then click the "OK" button.
  2. If the "Use the following TCP/IP addresses" box is not filled in, click the "Use the following TCP/IP addresses" link, type in the correct TCP/IP address information, and then click the "OK" button.
  3. Click the "OK" button to close the "Connection" tab.
  4. Click the "Close" button to close the "Internet Options" page.
  5. Click the "OK" button to close the "My Account" page.
  6. Click the "Reboot" button to restart your computer.

2. Check if your antivirus is blocking Hotmail

  1. Open the Task Manager by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys together.
  2. Click on the Processes tab and find out which process is using a lot of CPU time.
  3. In the example below, we can see that the Hotmail process is using a lot of CPU time.
  4. To disable the Hotmail process, right-click on it and select End Process.
  5. Return to the Task Manager and click on the Processes tab again.
  6. Now, right-click on the Hotmail process and select Enable.

3. Delete cookies and temporary internet files

The first step is to open up the internet browser on your computer and visit the website http://www.hotmail.com.
