Error code -36 is a common error code for Snow Leopard. This error code happens when there is a problem with the file structure or permissions on the computer. When this error code occurs, it is usually because of a problem with the way the files are stored on the computer.

If the answers above didn't work then you should also try:

  1. Error code -36:
  2. -Try using the Finder to copy the files instead of the Terminal
  3. -Check if there are any permission errors with the file or directory you're trying to copy
  4. -If you're copying to a network volume, try mounting it with the '-o volname' option
  5. -Check if the file or directory you're trying to copy is locked

  8. -If you're copying to a network volume, try mounting it with the '-o volname' option
  9. -Check the permissions of the destination directory
  10. -Check if there is enough free space on the destination volume
