How To Fix Common Kindle Reader Errors Error Codes?

There are a few common Kindle Reader Errors that can occur when using your Kindle. The most common error codes are:

-10: This error code indicates that your Kindle is not connected to a wireless network. Make sure that your Kindle is connected to a Wi-Fi network and try again.

-11: This error code indicates that your Kindle is not connected to a power source. Make sure that your Kindle is connected to a power source and try again.

-12: This error code indicates that your Kindle's battery is low. Connect your Kindle to a power source and try again.

-13: This error code indicates that your Kindle is not connected to a computer. Connect your Kindle to a computer and try again.

-14: This error code indicates that your Kindle is not connected to a printer. Connect your Kindle to a printer and try again.

1. Restart your Kindle Reader

  1. Open the Kindle app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Menu button and select Settings.
  3. Tap General and select Restart Kindle.
  4. Tap OK to confirm.
  5. Your Kindle will restart and you will be back to the main Kindle screen.

2. Update your Kindle Reader to the latest software version

  1. Tap on the Menu button in the top left corner of the Kindle Reader screen.
  2. Select “Settings”.
  3. Select “Update Your Kindle”.
  4. Select the version of software you are updating to.
  5. Tap on “Download and Install”.
  6. The Kindle Reader will start downloading the update.
  7. Once the update is complete, the Kindle Reader will restart.
  8. You will now be using the latest version of the Kindle Reader software.

3. Check for any loose connections and reconnect any that are loose

  1. Open the Kindle reader and go to Menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select General.
  4. Select Reset.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select Restart Kindle.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select Finish.

  2. Check for any obstructions in the Kindle Reader's ventilation ports.
