How do I fix Android GeoFence error code 1000?

Android geofence error code 1000 is a result of either the geofence being too close to an existing geofence, or the geofence not being registered correctly. This error can also be caused by the geofence not having a matching ID.

1. Restart the device

  1. To restart the device, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the device powers down.
  2. Once the device has powered down, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the device powers up.
  3. Select the "Restart" option from the menu that appears.
  4. After the device has restarted, sign in to your Google account.
  5. If you have a password, enter it.
  6. Select the "Errors" option from the menu that appears.
  7. Select "Android Geofence" from the list of errors.
  8. Tap the "Clear Cache and Data" button.
  9. Select the "Restart" option from the menu that appears.

2. Check for updates to the Android operating system and install any available updates

  1. From your Android device's home screen, tap the Settings app.
  2. Tap System Update.
  3. Tap Check for updates.
  4. If an update is available, tap Install.
  5. After the update is installed, tap OK.

3. Check for updates to the geofencing app and install any available updates

  1. Open the geofencing app
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. Select "About"
  5. Tap on "Check for updates"
  6. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed
  7. If an update is not available, the app will return to the main screen

4. Uninstall and then reinstall the geofencing app

STEP 1: Open the "Settings" app on your Android device. STEP 2: Under the "System" category, find and tap on "Geofencing." STEP 3: Tap on the "Uninstall" button next to the geofencing app. STEP 4: Tap on the "Reinstall" button next to the geofencing app. STEP 5: Enter your phone number and email address where you registered the geofencing app. STEP 6: Tap on the "Install" button. STEP 7: Wait for the app to install. STEP 8: Once the installation is complete, tap on the "Open" button. STEP 9: Enter your registered phone number and email address. STEP 10: Tap on the "Create" button. STEP 11: Tap on the "Start" button. STEP 12: If the geofencing app is not working, try to restart your Android device.

5. Delete the geofencing app's data and cache files

Delete the geofencing app's data and cache files:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Scroll down and find the "Apps" section.
  3. Tap on the geofencing app's name.
  4. On the "App info" screen, find the "Data" and "Cache" sections.
  5. Tap on the "Data" tab.
  6. Tap on the "Delete" button.
  7. Confirm the deletion by tapping on the "Yes" button.
  8. Restart your Android device.
  9. The deletion process should now be complete.
